Liverpool sebenarnya sudah dipastikan menjadi juara sejak beberapa waktu lalu. Namun, penyerahan trofi dilakukan pada laga kandang terakhir musim ini.

Ini merupakan trofi juara pertama Liverpool di era Premier League, atau gelar liga yang pertama dalam 30 tahun terakhir.
